We have been discussing college in the Expository Writing class almost every day, as I have written to you; I am planning on being either in the University of Wyoming in Laramie or South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City. I would sincerely appreciate it if you would write a recommendation letter for me and sent it to me. Because I have taken two classes instructed by you in my time in Roosevelt, you have seen my growth as an individual. You have seen the quality of my work and my personal qualities; you have seen my passion for the fields of environmental engineering and technology.
As my instructor for Expository Writing and Speech, you are familiar with my work ethic, study habits, and grades. I think you would be one of the few people who would have a great since of my ability to succeed in my college education. I am asking for your recommendation because I am applying for a variety of scholarships and attempting to apply for work study programs, which require at bare minimum two letters of recommendation bare minimum. I have received an A in AP Calculus, a total score of 31 on my ACT, and an academic reward for getting a 4.22 GPA this semester.
