We have spoken a little about college and I would enjoy letting you know that I have decided to go to college in search of a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering. I would appreciate it if you could write a recommendation letter for me and possibly send it to me via email or by hand. Because of our familiarity developed by four classes in my time here at Roosevelt, you understand my creative thinking skills, work ethic, and passions for designing, building, and even sketching the unique ideas. You know my qualities as an art student and as an individual, and my potential to bring a unique perspective to the engineering field.
As my instructor for drawing and pottery classes, you are familiar with my work ethic, passion for the unique, and my perspective of the world. I think you would be one of the best people to attest to my creative qualities and ability to succeed in a college. I am asking for your recommendation because I require them for some of the scholarships I am applying for. I believe the scholarships would aid me in my education because, as you have seen, when I am able to focus directly on one subject (i.e. a drawing or my education) the work I provide is on a far grander scale than when my mind is multitasking.
